Issues to be noted in the use of single cylinder air-cooled diesel engines

Single cylinder air-cooled diesel engines are widely used in agricultural machinery production as supporting power for many small agricultural machinery. However, due to the lack of technical knowledge among many users of single cylinder air-cooled diesel engines, they do not know how to maintain them, resulting in severe early wear and reduced power and economy for newly purchased single cylinder air-cooled diesel engines.

Given this situation, there are three key points to note.

1. Maintenance of air filters. This is particularly important, and it is easy to overlook when using a single cylinder air-cooled diesel engine. Due to the relatively harsh working environment of single cylinder air-cooled diesel engines, dust is easily sucked into the air filter. If not cleaned in a timely manner, it will inevitably reduce the filtering effect of the air inlet and air filter, leading to further wear of components such as valves and cylinder liners, and reducing the service life of the machine.

2. Change and check the engine oil. Before using a newly purchased single cylinder air-cooled diesel engine, it is necessary to check and add sufficient oil to ensure that the oil is replaced after running for a period of time. After use, it is possible to observe the viscosity of the oil and replace the color of the oil as necessary.

3. Add enough cooling water and pay attention to antifreeze. Sufficient water quality should be added to the cooling water to better clean the water and ensure better cooling effect, without causing the engine to overheat due to scaling cooling effect.
